Trae Tha Truth partners with Hot Wheels on limited-edition toy car

Houston culture meets Hot Wheels.

Rapper-activist Trae Tha Truth has announced his partnership with Hot Wheels on a Houston-inspired limited-edition toy car that will benefit charity.

The cars will be the very first SLAB (Slow. Loud. And. Banging) edition of the famous toy brand. The Houston skyline will be side-painted over the classic candy paint, and the cars will of course feature the fifth wheel and chrome grille, a pop-up trunk and a flying goddess up front.

According to the rapper, only three of the model cars will be made, making the cars “a toy collectors’ dream.”

“It’s even crazier for me to have my own H-shaped toy,” Trae wrote on Instagram. “This is one of my greatest accomplishments.”

The rapper said the toy would benefit his non-profit organization Angel by Nature, which aims to help empower young people in disadvantaged communities.

“Honored and grateful to wear for our city,” he added to the caption announcing the partnership.

According to ABC News 13, all three toys will be auctioned off at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour event in Texas on Saturday, September 18.
