Thandiwe Newton’s toy boy rapper Lonr, 25, breaks his silence
The young musician seen flirting with Thandiwe Newton over the weekend insisted her number one priority is the well-being of her three children.
The beleaguered actress, 49, was pictured sharing a kiss with rapper Elijah Dias in Malibu on Saturday in her first public appearance since splitting from her husband of 23 years, Ol’ Parker.
But Dias, 25, who is just four years older than her eldest daughter, insists she is still focused on raising her children with the filmmaker – Ripley, 21, Nico, 17 and Booker, eight.

While her personal connection to Newton is unclear, their professional paths crossed in 2021 when Dias collaborated with Amber Mark on the track Save My Love.
The song then appeared in the trailer and on the soundtrack of the film Reminiscence, in which the actress starred alongside Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson.
Separated: Thandiwe and Ol married in 1998 (pictured in 2018)
Newton, who was asked to enter rehab, was missing her wedding ring as she walked hand-in-hand with the young rapper over the weekend.
Thandiwe was reported to be suffering from emotional and family issues after splitting from husband Ol, 52.
Ol is a British filmmaker who previously wrote and directed the 2018 musical film Mamma Mia! Here we go again.
A source said, “Thandiwe had been acting strange on set, she was very nervous. Her apparent meltdown caused so much disruption that it became clear she couldn’t play the part.
“A lot is going on in her personal life, she and her husband have separated. She seemed so stressed that she even brought her two pet rabbits to her hotel for emotional support.
Split: The award-winning actress has joined her ex-husband in removing his wedding ring, as the director was spotted without his earlier this week as he left his London home
Thandiwe was reportedly asked to seek mental health support following the breakdown of her marriage – and an alleged split with Magic co-star Mike Channing Tatum over Will Smith’s Oscar slap – which she has denied.
The star has previously shared how she suffered “a number of depressions” in her troubled past, as well as her heartbreaking experiences of sexual abuse, racism and bulimia during her time in the industry.
When she was 16, she was groomed by director John Duigan, who was 39 at the time.
Duigan’s abuses spanned five years, two of those years being branded a ‘relationship’ after he sought Newton’s parents’ blessing to be his girlfriend when he was 18, while asking her to hide their previous intimacy which began when she was just 16.
Past: The actress has previously shared how she suffered ‘a number of breakdowns’ and discussed her heartbreaking experiences of sexual abuse as a teenager (pictured in 1991 aged 16)
The Bafta-winning actress said the relationship left her ‘self-destructive’ and said she only talked about it ‘so teenagers can see they can resist and become self-aware “.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Thandiwe claimed Duigan took advantage of her when she was vulnerable.
She said: “I was a very shy and very sweet girl. I was not in control of the situation. Would I have liked things to be different? Sure.
“But I can now value myself more for how I got through it. I don’t see myself as a victim.

“I was a very shy and very nice girl. I was not in control of the situation. Would I have liked things to be different? Of course,” she told InStyle in a 2011 interview.
“But I can now value myself more for how I got through it. I don’t see myself as a victim. In retrospect, even though it was legal because I was 16, I was forced.
During the first Covid lockdown, she added: ‘I had a very complicated relationship with sex. It felt like I had to give something back to be noticed. Predators and sexual aggressors can smell it from miles away.
“I had a lot of trouble being a teenager in the film industry. It’s not a place for young people unless your mother is by your side all the time and that’s not possible.
