Spin Master goes ‘spellbound’ in licensing pact with Skydance Animation • The Toy Book
Following its success with licensed properties including DreamWorks Gabby’s DollhouseFeld Entertainment’s Monster Jam and WarnerMedia’s DC Super Heroes and Wizarding World of Harry Potter Spin Master just signed another deal.
The Toronto-based toy and entertainment company has signed an agreement to serve as the master toy licensee for Skydance Animation. The first property included in the deal is Apple’s original movie Bewitched. The Vicky Jenson-directed animated feature debuts August 5 on Apple TV+ and will come with fashion dolls, mini-dolls and vehicles.

Bewitched is an animated musical that follows a young girl who sets out to break the spell that has split her kingdom in two. It is written by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin and Linda Woolverton, with an original score by Oscar winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. Chris Montan serves as executive music producer on the film.
Under the new licensing agreement, Spin Master will develop toy lines based on Skydance Animation’s future properties.
