Atlanta Kids’ Business Owners Lead Food, Toy & Book Drive

HENRY COUNTY, GA – In an effort to support area families, Henry County Elementary School students Treandos Thornton and Noah Thornton are leading their own food, toy and book drive for the holiday season .

The Thornton brothers are the CEO and President of the kid-run T&N Bow Ties and Apparel, respectively. This year marks the 6th year that young entrepreneurs have led the annual charity campaign, according to a press release. All items collected will go to United Food Force, Inc., which helps thousands of people each year by providing additional food and services. Area businesses, community members and local students are helping Treandos and Noah this year with a good cause.

“We want to help community members in need this holiday season,” said Treandos, 10. “Children and their families should have food, toys and books to enjoy, even after Christmas. Food insecurity is real and my brother and I want to do our part.

“We are asking community members to help us if they can,” said Noah Thornton, 6. “We want to do what we can because we care about ourselves.”

The annual food and toy drive has collected more than 2,500 non-perishable food items, toys and books in recent years, the statement said. The T&N Bow Ties and Apparel team said they believe the style can have a purpose that can help build the confidence of young men and women in all communities.
